Jack's Fears
What is Jack truly afraid of? He seems to think that everything will work out always. For instance, when he doesn't have enough money, he just thinks he'll figure it out further down the line. Though it's not good to obsess over issues of this sort, there should be a certain type of fear brought to light in these situations. Fear rules many people's lives; it is their guide in decision-making. Has there been much portrayal of fear in this book, because I'm not picking up on it.

This goes back to the fact that Jack does not describe himself. Just like Nick in "The Great Gatsby". If he described himself and his fears he would never be able to move on in the story. The focus would be on Jack and not his adventures. You would be focusing on how Jack reacts to his Adventures instead of the adventure itself
Fear is part of the chain that chains you. Jack is a free bird and so I think he doesn't feel pressure or fear when a sudden event happens. He knows that he can survive it. or maybe he doesn't even care what happens so he doesn't feel fear. Because he doesn't feel any pressure, he survives any happenings.
